I joined RE/MAX Alliance in October 2015 after completing a 30-year career in the United States Navy. Throughout my Navy career, including command of an E-2C Hawkeye squadron in Norfolk, VA and a Naval Air Facility in Atsugi, Japan, and establishing a missile defense base in Romania, I have stood in awe of the dedication of our nation’s service members and the resiliency of their families.
Moving thirteen times over my career in and out of Hampton Roads, around the United States, and around the world, and spending over five years deployed on aircraft carriers, I know the uncertainty of military life and the flexibility and adaptability required of military families. My primary purpose for choosing real estate and Re/Max Alliance as my next life mission is to reach out and assist Hampton Roads military families as they relocate into or out of the region, whether purchasing, selling, renting or leasing.
There are so many service members receiving orders to bases outside the US, knowing they want to return to Hampton Roads, but not having acceptable options for maintaining their homes with someone they can trust. Additionally, with all services and all ranks represented here in Hampton Roads, it is the smartest market for first-time home buyers to realize the American dream of home ownership.
Over the last six years, it has been my privilege to assist many active duty members, Veterans, and families find the home that fits them best – some rentals, some purchases, some sales, some property management, some just a little advice. Additionally, I have valued additional education and designations that the National Association of Realtors® offers, including becoming an Associate Broker, a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), and a Graduate, Realtor® Institute(GRI) – all to ensure that I am providing my clients the most factual and latest information available.
Additionally, I serve as the President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP.net), a non-profit organization with a mission to increase sustainable home ownership, VA Loan awareness, and financial literacy among the Veteran and military communities.
I also participate in the Veterans Real Estate Benefits Network (VREBNetwork.com), providing a Membership Rewards to all of my Veteran and active duty clients - over $185,000 since 2017.
