Barbara Dyer is currently Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Classic, 2020 Chairperson Professional Standards with the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Forms

Committee, Chairperson for The Statewide Grievance Committee since 2013, and a HUD Approved

Housing Counselor.

In 2020 Barbara received the J.L. Christian Award from the Metro South Association of Realtors®. Going into 2013 Barbara had many accolades but was inducted as President of the Metro South

Association of REALTORS® Education Foundation and is also a J.P. Morgan Chase real estate

professional Priority Partner. You can also see Barbara in the June 2013 edition of The Atlanta Business

Chronicle as a featured REALTOR® .

In 2011, Barbara received a sweeping nomination for, and graciously accepted, the position of President

for The Metro South Association of REALTORS® for the 2012 term. Notably, Barbara was the first African

American woman to hold the position of President of The Metro South Association of REALTORS®.

In 2009, Barbara was nominated and appointed to Vice President of Professional Development with the

Board of Directors with the Metro South Association of REALTORS®. In 2008, Barbara was later

nominated and appointed as the Committee Chairperson of the Metro South Board of REALTORS®

Grievance Committee. Additionally, Barbara was nominated and appointed to the role of Vice President

of Administration to the Board of Directors with the Metro South Board of REALTORS®. In 2005, Barbara

was nominated and appointed as a Committee Member with the Metro South Board of REALTORS® on

the Grievance Committee. In September 2004, Barbara was nominated as one of Atlanta’s Top

REALTORS® featured in the Atlanta’s Home magazine issue.

Barbara previously worked in corporate America for over 21 years. While employed with a major national

company, she began a career as an independent paralegal in 1995; specializing in family law, torts, and landlord/tenant disputes. Family Law Attorney Kathy Hedden (now retired) strongly urged Barbara to

pursue a Mediation Certification, which she did in 1996. With the Mediation Certification, Barbara became registered with the State of Georgia to facilitate disputes and conflict resolutions in the State Courts.

Barbara began her meditation career in 1997 in the Cobb County Magistrate Court and is currently an

independent contractor with Miller Mediators.

Barbara later obtained her Real Estate license in 1998, a wise decision that has positively altered her trajectory.

Currently, Barbara is a licensed and active member in good standing with Metro South Board of REALTORS®, Georgia Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®. She has been a Million Dollar Club Producer since 2000 and retains several real estate designations, such as C-REP (Commercial Real Estate Professional), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and CREO

(Certified Real Estate Owned).

Additional professional accomplishments that Barbara has attained are her designations as a Certified Distress Property Expert (CDPE), a graduate of the Georgia REALTORS® Institute (GRI), Military

Relocation Professional (MRP), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) and a graduate of the Georgia

Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy.

Barbara has contributed as a Leadership Support Giver under the United Way “Johnnetta B. Cole

Society”.

Communication is a priority between Barbara and all the parties she collaborates with, therefore, she

utilizes her acquired skills to reduce conflict, establish resolutions and facilitate a meeting of the minds.
